Pasali Attends Financial Management Training

Three representatives coming from Pasali Philippines attended the three day “Financial Management Training” on 27-29 August 2015 at Suncity Suites, General Santos City given by Cordaid to its partner organizations. 
Apart from helping partners further strengthen its financial management capacity, participants also gained knowledge on Sustainability and Fund Raising, Fraud Reporting, Audit and Organizational Planning and Budgeting. 

Inputs on Strategic Projection, Tax Exemption  and requirements for accreditation to the Philippine Council for NGO Certification were also discussed.  

The workshop was conducted by Dave Zwaan, Cordaid Finance Officer andJacqueline Villar, Cordaid Financial Consultant in the Philippines and attended by representatives of different non-government organization receiving funding support from Cordaid – one of the largest development aid organizations in Netherlands.

TNKK Supports Indigent School Children

The Pasali led Consortium for Children’s Rights and development has successfully distributed another batch of school supplies and goods to 3,991 indigent yet deserving students in 15 schools in Palimbang Sultan Kudarat and General Santos City as an offshoot of its campaign “Tulong Nyo, Kinabukasan Ko” (Your Help, My Future) otherwise known as TNKK.
TNKK is Pasali’s initiative to support the needy students since 2009. This year, June 17 to August 10, 2015, TNKK was able to gathered used clothing, textbooks and a total of 3,227 school supplies kit. These were made possible thru the able support of the following partners:
  • Fleur Pharmacy,
  • Notre Dame-Siena College of Polomolok,
  • KCC Property Holdings Inc.,
  • Police Regional Office 12,
  • East West Bank- Calumpang Branch,
  • individuals who gave cash and non-cash donations

To date, the TNKK program’s fundraising activity is going for another batch of recipients. Last school year, the program reached around 1,500 children from the 16 recipient schools in Sarangani, Sultan Kudarat and General Santos City.​

PETA conducts creative teaching in the 21st century

Teachers from seventeen (17) recipient schools of the Respect Education Program in Palimbang, Sultan Kudarat.
A three (3)-day Teacher’s Training was conducted by Philippine Education Theater Association (PETA) in cooperation with Pasali Philippines Foundation, Inc. at Milbuk Central Elementary School from 31st of July to 2nd day of August 2015. The Training was designed as a specialization of Theater in Education Workshop on the application of art strategies in teaching-learning situations in various aspects.
It was participated by nineteen (19) teachers and two (2) shool principals coming from seventeen (17) recipient schools of the Respect education Program (REP). Three (3) District Supervisors from DepEd Sultan Kudarat Division likewise joined. Participating teachers were from different schools in the northern, central and southern parts of Palimbang, Sultan Kudarat.
