PASALI is commissioned by United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) to carry out the mapping of persons of Indonesian descent in Southern Mindanao. Beginning 2012 Pasali conducted a preliminary mapping and mid-2012, the mapping began - surveys and group discussions General Santos City, Sarangani, North Cotabato, South Cotabato, Davao, and Sarangani and Balut island.
