How Pasali Responds to Emergencies

We value life. This is why we, in Pasali respond to any life threatening situations like wars, disasters, disease outbreaks,  and human rights abuses. We respond by:

❶  Linking with other organizations both local and internationally to provide relief operations as well as rehabilitation.

❷  Training target communities in Community based Disaster Risk Reduction (CMDRR). At the moment this is being done in Palimbang, Sultan Kudarat.

❸  Finding and working on sustainable ways to reduce or prevent emergencies and disasters to happen again.

Peace is not just the absence of wars. It is also the fulfillment  of basic needs of every human to live. In all our work areas, we strive to build solid, self-reliant communities. One of the lessons we learned through time is that, if every family has food on the table, when all tribes in a place meet, talk and work together, peace is attainable.
